Ashton Kutcher has had it with Charlie Sheen. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, Feb. 5, the former That '70s Show star issued a "public plea" to his Two and a Half Men predecessor to stop trashing him on Twitter. (Sheen recently called Kutcher Jon Cryer's "lame side-kik" and told him to "quit barfing on my old brilliant show.")
"Dude, shut the f--k up!" Kutcher, 35, yelled in a message to Sheen. "Seriously, like, enough already. It's three years later and you're still blowing me up on Twitter? Come on, dude, really?"
"Every day when you go into work, do they say, 'Thank you for not being Charlie'?" Kimmel quipped, alluding to the Anger Management star's infamous antics during his last months on the CBS hit. (Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men in 2011 after a very public meltdown.)
"I'm trying to, like, skew towards where Charlie was at when he left," Kutcher joked in response. "I'm just trying to, like, edge in that direction."
All kidding aside, the Jobs actor said he's settled nicely into his role as Sheen's replacement, Walden Schmidt. "We're in the third year I've been there now, and I feel like I'm at home," he told Kimmel.
He didn't always feel like that, though. "I thought it was gonna be easy, like, from That '70s Show and then taking a break from doing sitcoms, to jump back into sitcoms," he confessed. "And it actually took me more time than I thought it would to just sort of get my sitcom sea legs again and get back into the rhythm. I feel like the show's just really got a nice stride right now."
Sheen, for his part, responded to Kutcher's public plea via -- what else? -- Twitter on Thursday, Feb. 6. "Ashton, message received," he wrote. "So sorry. U sounded like me! Well done! My bad, I was pissed at other crap & took it out on you. Hope u r good. xox C."
He later added: "But news flash, dood, you ever tell me to shut the F*** up, EVER again, and I'll put you on a hospital food diet for a year. C #YaFeelMe Jr??"
