Ariana Grande Confirms Romance With Mac Miller in Awkward VMA Preshow Interview

Ariana Grande’s VMA preshow interview with Charlamagne Tha God was going well at first. She was saying things like, “I’m very honored to be nominated,” and using words like exciting and awesome. But when Charlamagne decided to bring up something from Grande’s past, her vibe quickly changed, and things turned awkward.

“Now, look, you can’t go around here licking no pastries tonight,” the host said, referring to the video TMZ released in July last year showing Grande licking a doughnut on a counter in a Southern California doughnut shop. That, along with comments she made at the time, like “I hate America,” caused quite an uproar, and she took to social media to apologize.

The good news for Grande is that Charlamagne moved on from that topic, but the bad news is that he went on to bring up her love life. She has been making headlines with rapper Mac Miller for the past couple of weeks but hadn’t made anything official.

When Charlamagne prodded Grande about where Miller was, the singer responded, “Being supportive. It’s OK to be alone even when you have a boo.”
