‘Big Hero 6: The Series’: Watch the New Opening Sequence

Finally, Disney XD presented the opening sequence to its new animated series about the superhero force and cuddly, inflatable Baymax.

The next Disney flick to find a second life on the small screen — well, one of many small screens — is Big Hero 6, 2014’s Oscar-winning animated feature about a team of young superheroes and their inflatable robot icon, Baymax.

Disney XD has already ordered a second season of the series, well ahead of its premiere this fall on the network (which is already killing it this year with the red-hot DuckTales reboot this August). Before Big Hero 6 The Series arrives, you can check out the main titles now, fresh off their debut during the DuckTales panel at Disney’s biennial D23 Expo on Saturday.

The opening sequence, above, showcases not only the new animation style for the characters but also the show’s superheroic theme song. (Those trumpets!)

The series stars Maya Rudolph (Aunt Cass), Jamie Chung (Go Go), Scott Adsit (Baymax), Ryan Potter (Hiro), Genesis Rodriguez (Honey Lemon), Khary Payton (Wasabi), Brooks Wheelan (Fred), Alan Tudyk (Alistair Krei), David Shaughnessy (Heathcliff), and Stan Lee (Fred’s Dad). Yeah, that Stan Lee, reprising his no-longer-surprise cameo role from the original film.
