Andy Cohen’s Strong Pitch for Kellyanne Conway to Join a ‘Real Housewives’ Cast

Andy Cohen, producer of the many Housewives shows on Bravo TV, joined Seth Meyers on Late Night and shared one of his greatest wishes: to get Kellyanne Conway on Housewives. Cohen has good reason for wanting the former Trump campaign manager turned White House counselor on the show. He’s been saying for months that the debates reminded him of the Housewives reunion shows, which are mostly filled with bickering and accusations. Now, Conway reminds Cohen of former Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi. But the comparison isn’t a flattering one.

Salahi gained notoriety when she and her husband crashed a state dinner at the White House in 2009. Cohen said that when he asked her about it in an interview, she was unable to give a straight answer about whether or not she’d had an invitation to the dinner, though it was a simple yes-or-no question.

This is where the comparison to Conway comes in. Conway has become known for being difficult to interview because the truth is so hard to come by for her. In fact, she’s made headlines recently for coining the term “alternative facts” while defending blatant lies made by White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

Cohen joked about Conway’s new term, saying, “Alternative facts. I am waiting for them (the housewives) to bust it out. I’m taping the Beverly Hills reunion in a few weeks, and I’m waiting for Lisa Rinna to be like, “Well, no, that’s an alternative fact. But, you know.’”
