Andrew Garfield Explains Ryan Reynolds Kiss, Then Kisses Stephen Colbert

After Ryan Gosling won Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, at the 74th Golden Globe Awards, but before he gave his beautiful acceptance speech, the camera caught a bizarre moment in the audience. Fellow Best Actor nominee Ryan Reynolds was seen kissing Andrew Garfield.

On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Tuesday night, Garfield explained why he kissed Reynolds. The Amazing Spider-Man star said, “I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him no matter whether he won or lost.” Colbert was clearly a little jealous and let Garfield know that he has no problem kissing men either, and then they both leaned in for a kiss. And that kiss was so nice, they decided to do it twice!

Following the second kiss, both men sat there for a moment taking it all in, and Colbert was so taken back by the passionate kisses, that he could barely continue the interview. The Late Show host said, “What were we talking about? Um, so you’re … you’re a very gentle lover, I’ll start with that.”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
