Anderson Cooper Ridicules Himself
Anderson Cooper defended ex-FIFA executive Jack Warner for falling for an article by the satirical magazine The Onion. Amidst the scandal surrounding FIFA, Warner claimed that the United States was secretly hosting its own World Cup this summer. Anderson chose to poke fun at himself instead because he made the same mistake just last month when he fell for an article by the satirical website Clickhole. "I fell for a Clickhole article that quoted me as saying this at a commencement speech. 'Graduation is a big deal. Bigger than getting a hole in one while golfing,'" said Anderson, who tweeted last month, "Do you just make this stuff up?" Unfortunately, they do 'just make this stuff up,' but fortunately for Jack Warner, he has one less journalist on his back after Anderson closed with, "Love is gentle, love is kind. So let's give the FIFA guy a break."
