Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars was the first episode this season to bring results, and it came down to Ryan Lochte and Jake T. Austin. The Wizards of Waverly Place actor was sent home.
Austin hoped to use the dancing competition to change people’s opinion of him. He explained, “Most kids may know me as that funny little kid on TV, but I’m here to prove that little kid on TV is not who I am. I want America to see that’s not just who I am.”
His routine to the theme song of his former show Go, Diego! Go! may not have accomplished that, but it looked like he enjoyed his time on DWTS. After being voted off, Austin said, “It was so much fun. I had a blast. It was an incredible experience. Thank you to everyone watching.”
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
