Best Moments From ‘American Idol’ Wildcard Night

On Wednesday, American Idol began the process of paring down the contestants to the top 10. Four of the singers were saved by the judges: Dalton Rapattoni, Olivia Rox, Trent Harmon, and La’Porsha Renae. That left the remaining singers to battle it out for the audience votes.

Gianna Isabella, daughter of the ’80s pop singer Brenda K. Starr, sang “I Put a Spell on You.” That spell must have been on Jennifer Lopez, who loved the performance, saying, “It’s great because you’re still 15. We see that innocence, but we also see there are beginnings of an amazing, amazing artist and performer.”

Sonika Vaid sang Celine Dion’s “I Surrender.” Jenny From the Block also loved this performance, saying that it gave her goose bumps in her cheeks, which was a first.

The quirky Jenn Blosil gave a performance of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” while wearing jewels in her eyebrows. The contestants then awaited their fate in the competition that will be determined by audience votes.

American Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
