'American Idol' Producers Take Over: Go Behind the Scenes 1 Week Before the Finale
It’s hard to believe, but in one week, American Idol’s lights will be dimmed forever. Ahead of the two-night series finale, we’ve handed over our Instagram account to co-executive producers Megan Wolflick and Charles Boyd for a backstage look at one of the final Idol shows ever.
Wolflick shared a behind-the-scenes selfie with longtime Idol musical director Rickey Minor, while Boyd tickled the ivories with vocal coach Michael Orland and got a quick buzz from Idol’s resident barber Dean Banowetz.

The Idol producers also took us backstage with Ryan Seacrest, and shared snaps of Top 4 finalists La’Porsha Renae and Dalton Rapattoni, and Mackenzie Bourg and Trent Harmon, who wore matching cat sweaters. (Who wore it better? Um, we’ll flip a coin!)
