Amazing Tom Petty cover causes 'Voice' coaches to fight over contestant

As the Battle Rounds began on The Voice, Team Adam contestants Adam Pearce and Whitney Fenimore both brought their A-games. They sang “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks, and even during rehearsal, Joe Jonas knew that it was gonna be a tough battle. “I can’t pick a favorite between the two. They both complement each other so well, and they’re both really talented,” Joe said.

Adam and Whitney both sang their hearts out, which made it difficult to pick a winner, as Blake pointed out when he said, “Nobody won or lost there. You guys both did so great.” So Adam Levine struggled with who he was going to keep on his team. Ultimately, Adam decided to keep the other Adam on his team, which left Whitney available to steal.

While Whitney was thanking Adam for his coaching, both Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton hit their “steal” buttons, and once again, Whitney had a decision to make. Both Miley and Blake made their cases, and then Adam made his case for why Whitney should choose Miley as her new coach. That was all Whitney needed to decide that she wanted to join Team Miley. “I truly believe Miley has believed in me from the get-go,” Whitney said about her new coach. “I, like, think she’s so genuine, [a] person of her word, so I had to go with that.”
