Alex Trebek Raps a Drake Song on ‘Jeopardy!’

Don’t be startled when you watch this clip from Wednesday’s Jeopardy! It may sound like host Alex Trebek was replaced by rap superstar Drake, but that was in fact not the case. It turns out the category was musical acts, and the clue featured Trebek reciting a verse from Drake’s hit song “Jumpman.”

“This Canadian rapped, ‘Jumpman, Jumpman, them boys up to somethin’, uh uh uh, I think I need some Robitussin,’” Trebek said. And after the contestant correctly answered “Who is Drake?,” Trebek offered a quick critique of his own performance when he said, “I think left out a Jumpman there.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Trebek has thrown down lyrics from classic hip-hop songs. Over the years he has memorably read clues about artists such as the Beastie Boys, Notorious B.I.G., Grandmaster Flash, Cypress Hill, and the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith.
