Adorable Girl Dominates ‘Chopped Junior’ With Adorableness

Lauryn Mitchell not only won Chopped Junior, she also won the hearts of viewers. The little chef’s cooking style could be described as sophisticatedly adorable.

Mitchell was the youngest of four competitors vying for the $10,000 grand prize. For a 9-year-old, she has a pretty complex palate, even if pronunciation skills are still developing. “For the spices, I am using salt, pepper, and … Hun … Garian paprika,” she said, adding, “I have used this kind of paprika before and it gives it a nice kick. I just have a hard time pronouncing it.”

In the final dessert round, it seemed like Mitchell was a shoo-in to win after her rival burned all her strawberries, but since Mitchell is so sweet, she actually gave her competitor her leftover berries.

In the end, the judges just couldn’t overlook Mitchell’s culinary prowess, refreshing sportsmanship, and all-around cuteness. Mitchell won — and all was right in the Chopped kitchen.

Chopped Junior airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Food Network.
