Adele racked up another win at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in L.A. Feb. 10. The British songbird won the Grammy for Best Solo Pop performance for "Set Fire to the Rain [Live]", just one year after sweeping the show with a record six wins.
"Thank you so much. This is amazing. I just wanted to come and be part of the night because I loved it last year, obviously," Adele said in her acceptance speech. "Thank you. I just want to send big love to all the other girls and all us females doing this because we work so hard and we make it look so easy."
Backstage, the 24-year-old musician told reporters that this year's ceremony felt much different than in years past -- mostly because she has a 4-month-old child to raise. (Neither Adele nor her boyfriend Simon Konecki have shared their son's name publicly.)
"I've been up since 6 a.m., so I'm quite tired, but it's nice. I haven't been as stressed out," Adele admitted. "You have to prioritize what you stress about and worry about when you have a child. Getting my hair and makeup is usually a blast. I'm like, 'Get off! Get off!'"
Adele also revealed that she's "not very far along" in recording the followup to her 2011 sophomore smash, 21. "I'm having lots of meetings," the Valentino-clad star said. "I've been in L.A. the whole time since the Globes and I will be until the Oscars. I've been having lots of meetings and I've been out of the loop really. I've sort of . . . I've been singing my baby nursery rhymes, so I don't know what's cool and what's not!"
