Adam Driver Remembers Last Time He Saw Carrie Fisher

On Thursday, Adam Driver visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and shared his feelings about the recent death of his Star Wars co-star Carrie Fisher.

Driver said, “She burns very bright and has such a great, very generous energy.”

He also shared what the loss of Fisher means to the Star Wars franchise. “To have her character, not just in the movie but her character missing from that very small unit is a tragedy.”

Fisher passed away on Dec. 27 at the age of 60. The two starred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Driver and Fisher also filmed Star Wars: Episode VIII during the summer. Driver remembered, “I think the last time I saw her was on set, being Princess Leia.”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
