Aaron Paul Teases a Possible Appearance on ‘Better Call Saul’

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul joined Ellen on Tuesday, and the host asked him a question that’s been on the minds of fans of the hit AMC show: Will he be making an appearance on the spinoff prequel to Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul? If Paul were to reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman, he wouldn’t be playing the same meth-cooking partner to Walter White that we all got to know and love. Better Call Saul takes place several years before the start of Breaking Bad, so Paul would likely be playing a high schooler with a drug problem. When pressed on the issue, Paul was very cryptic in his answer.

“Yeah, we just … they just wrapped the last season,” Paul said, in what may have been his most telling answer.

Of course, there’s a chance he’s just having fun at our expense. There were a couple of other times when he made it sound as if he was involved with Better Call Saul, like when he alluded to already having shot with the show but then quickly made it seem otherwise. So until further notice, Jesse Pinkman superfans will just have to wait and see.
