'Strong': First Look at Sylvester Stallone's Brutal NBC Fitness Competition

Do you like The Biggest Loser but think it would even more entertaining with a few American Ninja Warrior-style killer obstacle courses? Good news: Sylvester Stallone and Gabrielle Reece are about to make your televised fitness competition dreams come true. Their new show, Strong — hosted by Reece and exec produced by Stallone, who narrates the exclusive trailer above — pairs 10 women with frighteningly fit personal trainers who will whip them into shape and compete alongside them in “epic strength and conditioning challenges.” From the look of Strong’s “elimination tower,” this show took some inspiration from Ninja Warrior’s infamous “Mount Midoriyama” course. (Seriously, our abs hurt just watching this.)

We’re already rooting for the woman who says her husband could not look at her naked — even if her husband is an Adonis (and let’s be honest, you know he isn’t), that’s a terrible way to make your spouse feel. He’ll be lucky if his soon-to-be-ripped wife doesn’t ditch him for a nicer model later.

Strong premieres Wednesday, April 13 on NBC
