10-Year-Old Girl Becomes First ‘Chopped Junior’ Judge

Chopped Junior mixed things up this season by inviting the winners back to judge the judges’ cooking. And the Season 6 premiere came out of the oven smoking hot, as two of the contestants proved to be worth their weight in salt.

The competition came down to 10-year-old Nikki Bidun and 9-year-old Olivia Acosta. Both little ladies showed they have what it takes to make and judge great food.

Unfortunately there could be just one winner. In the end Acosta was sent packing while Bidun was left to enjoy the fruits of her labor — as well as the yummy chocolate lava cake she made in the final round.

Chopped Junior airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Food Network.
