Shane West Casts a 'Salem' Spell! See Pics From His Instagram Takeover
Shane West is on location in Louisiana, and he’s putting a spell on us. The actor, who plays 17th century war vet Capt. John Alden on WGN America’s breakout hit Salem, took over Yahoo TV’s Instagram account and shared a ton of snaps from a day on the set of the Shreveport-shot supernatural drama.
West posted shots of the local scenery, his massive box of makeup tricks, and a short video that shows him mounting a horse, something he admits makes him skittish. (You wouldn’t know it based on his flawless approach!) There’s also plenty of love for his co-stars: A gorgeous shot of leading lady Mary Sibley (played by Janet Montgomery), and pics of witchy mother-son duo Countess Marburg (Lucy Lawless) and Sebastian (Joe Doyle). There’s even a bonafide 1600s bromance as West shows off a selfie with Seth Gabel (Alden’s buddy, Cotton Mather, on the show.)
Salem airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on WGN America.
