After much speculation, it has finally been announced that luxury furniture brand Restoration Hardware will open its first-ever hotel in New York’s trendy Meatpacking District.

The hotel will set up shop in a 25,000-square-foot building on Gansevoort Street, replacing historic Manhattan restaurant Pastis. Last year, the store signed a $250 million, 15-year lease for a 70,000-square-foot flagship property on the same block too.

And we can’t talk about a posh furniture-hotel crossover without mentioning amenities. According to Crain’s, the hotel will have 14 rooms, a ground-floor restaurant, and Restoration Hardware furniture and fixtures, of course. Due to its proximity to the flagship, the hotel rooms will also function as showrooms.

Restoration Hardware is the kind of brand that calls some of its stores “galleries” and has set up shop in luxurious spaces on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles (with a rooftop garden and lounge) and Boston (at the Historic Museum of Natural History).

There’s no word yet on when the hotel is set to open, but we can already assure you it won’t be anything short of lavish.
