What Are You Waiting For? Your Dream Bucket List Destinations

If you could go anywhere in the world, where it be? Would you dive with great white sharks in South Africa? Maybe you’ve always dreamed of strolling around the Taj Mahal in India? Or does a week on the beaches of Aruba sound like the dream vacation?
We recently posed this question in a Yahoo Travel survey, and the results showed that adventure is definitely on the minds of our readers. Of the 2,000 people surveyed, many desire hiking, scuba diving, or going on a safari at their dream destination.
Even better, it looks like taking some of these dream trips is actually possible. 73 percent revealed that they had paid vacation days from work. So why aren’t people checking destinations off of their bucket list? One word — family. Sixty-one percent admitted that they use their vacation time to visit loved ones.
Now, we agree that family always comes first. But here at Yahoo Travel we also think it’s important to get out and see the world. Check out some of the destinations on our readers’ bucket lists below, and then tell us … where have you always dreamed of traveling?

“Lying on a Caribbean beach with a fruity drink with an umbrella in it.” — 32, male

“I would take the honeymoon we never got with my husband to Ireland. It would be at least 10 days in Ireland and we would drive ourselves around and stay at bed and breakfasts and kiss the Blarney Stone. We would visit castles and pubs and try new foods.” — 37, female
