It’s Friday, and that means it’s time to round up everything that’s happening in the world of travel. Here are the things we are all talking about right now.

Hotels

Russia’s capital has a swanky new hotel: Four Seasons Hotel Moscow is open for business. The property (which used to be the historic Hotel Moskva) overlooks Manezhnaya Square and is steps away from Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Kremlin, and the Bolshoi Theatre. The hotel has 180 rooms, five restaurants and lounges, (including the signature Italian restaurant Quadrum, and the chic Moskovsky Bar), with a spa opening in 2015.

Dubai knows how to (Hard) Rock. (Photo: Hard Rock)

The Hard Rock brand announced a couple of new additions. First, Hard Rock International has plans to build the Hard Rock Hotel Dubai Marina. The property will consist of a 101-floor tower with 281 hotel rooms (floors one to 33) as well as residential units. There will also be health clubs and swimming pools. The hotel set to open next year. Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos will also open Hard Rock Hotel Dallas-Fort Worth in Grand Prairie, Texas. The location will include - wait for it - the most advanced indoor snow facility in the world. After all, who doesn’t want to ski in Texas. Eighty-six (of 300) rooms will overlook the “slopes,” plus there will be a rooftop pool complex. The hotel is scheduled to begin construction in January, and open in 2018.

Finally there’s a great place to stay in Serbia. Karisma Hotels & Resorts debuted boutique luxury property Allure Caramel by Karisma in Belgrade, in Old Town within walking distance to the Bohemian quarter. A former villa, the building is a classic example of Belgrade interwar architecture, keeping alive the rich heritage and historic charm of one of the oldest cities in Europe, but the hotel offers upscale and modern amenities like turndown service and wifi. Visitors can eat at Glass House Restaurant set in the gardens adjacent to the hotel, or take advantage of the lounges serving sushi, cocktails, and wines by the glass.

A cool hotel just isn’t enough anymore (especially to attract the coveted next generation of millennial travelers), so Morgans Hotel Group is upping its game: The company announced a partnership with Vice Media to create a series of celeb chef dinner parties taking place at its properties in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London. First up will be Pok Pok’s Andy Ricker at the Mondrian Los Angeles next month.

Cruising is about to get a lot more fun! MSC Cruises has a new partnership with the Lego Group to create the ultimate Lego experience at sea. The first Lego-enhanced ship out of the gate will be the MSC Armonia, setting sail on Nov. 19 (more will follow in 2017). The boat (currently in dry doc for a revamp) will have new Lego Group-designed play areas with Lego Duplo for tots, classic Lego bricks and a vertical play wall for 7 to 11 year olds; and “Building Happening” (themed builds with limited bricks) for 6 to 11 year olds. What – nothing for grown up kids?

Does everyone have a craft beer event now? The first Sioux Falls Craft Beer Expo will be held at the new Denny Sanford Premier Center on Nov. 8, featuring more than 40 craft breweries from around the country. Tickets range from $19 (for designated drivers) to $55 (for those who imbibe). But here’s the extra cool part: There will be educational seminars and a silent auction to benefit research for pediatric oncology and leukemia. Drink for a cause!
