WATCH: Exploring the Globe with Chef Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin

World traveler and global gourmand Eric Ripert is about to debut the third season of his Emmy-winning show, Avec Eric, and Yahoo Travel has a sneak peek. Premiering Saturday, February 28 on the Cooking Channel, the show will follow the Michelin three-star chef of Le Bernardin restaurant in New York City as he explores the world in search of culinary inspiration.

Yahoo Travel will be sharing coverage of Ripert’s journey, from Australia — where he goes helifishing in the Northern Territory and on a food-and-wine safari in Kangaroo Island — to Korea, where he learns how to make kimchi from the “Queen of Kimchi.”

Throughout the 12 episodes, Ripert meets the people and explores the places and cultures that influence his singular cooking style.

Avec Eric airs Saturday, February 28, at 9:30 a.m. EST/8:30 a.m. CST on the Cooking Channel.
