Talk about the trip of a lifetime. The Hangzhou Tourism Commission is running a contest called Global Tour 2015 that will send two families — one from the U.S. and one from China — as well as a media “storyteller” on a month-long trip around the world.

Here’s the hook: you’ll need to get your bags packed and be ready to leave on July 24. The trip goes through August 22, no exceptions.

The itinerary kicks off the Chinese city of Hangzhou — located 50 minutes by high-speed train from Shanghai — and ends in New York City. Stops along the way include Venice, Mykonos, and portions of the ancient Silk Road.

Families who want to enter need to film a short (30-second to 1-minute) video “audition” and complete a questionnaire. Submissions will be voted on by the public, and a panel of judges will chose the winner. Storyteller applicants need to complete two essays. The applications close on June 11, and winners will be announced on June 18.
