The planets are sitting pretty for you, lucky Aries. It’s time to drop what you’re doing and head off to a Southeast Asian retreat. Pamper yourself with a heavenly massage in Central Java, near the 1,200-year-old Borobudur Temple, which has carvings depicting massage. Then have a few new threads made in one of the famous tailor shops in the delightful city of Hoi An, Vietnam, known to be one of the prettiest cities in Asia. Indulge a little this week, Aries, and feel like a new person.

The planets are triggering the health nut in you these days, Taurus … or at least they are trying to! Not feeling it yet? Get those hiking boots on and wander the Chocolate Hills on the enchanted island of Bohol in the Philippines. Or take to the trails in Vermont, where the colors of the leaves over each hill you cross will keep you moving forward. Just because it’s time to exercise doesn’t mean you need to hit the gym; Mother Nature has always had the best treadmills available!

Gemini

The planets are triggering your need to explore and express, Gemini. These things are your birthright and shouldn’t cost you a thing. Spend the day walking along the exciting Gran Via of Madrid and the evening in the Museo del Prado, one of the city’s most popular attractions, which happens to be free in the evenings. Or stroll along the extravagant Avenue des Champs-Élysées and work your way over to the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, where you can hang with the likes of Picasso, Matisse, and Modigliani — all gratis. Let the cities and the art you connect with this week inspire your voice.

Cancer

The Moon and Mars early this week are triggering some old wounds to rise up. It’s time to let go of whatever needs to be released and move beyond it. Head for a yoga retreat in Umbria, Italy, where the softly rolling hills will be a nice accompaniment to your downward dog and cobra poses. Or spend some quality time in the waves and on the mat in Nosara, Costa Rica, a yogi’s heaven on Earth. If you allow the past to be released, the future will come flowing in beautifully, and that, dear Cancer, is what the planets want for you right now.

Jupiter is in your sign until next summer, Leo, and one of its main purposes is to broaden your horizons and to get you thinking in expansive and new ways. But speedy Mars and the watery Moon are throwing you into a tailspin this week, bringing some zingers to help you push beyond your comfort zone. Get your scuba suit on, climb into a viewing cage, and take the plunge into the Pacific waters of Isla Guadalupe to visit with some of the great white sharks that inhabit the waters. Or give your perspective a tune-up on the zigzaggy Khardung La road in Kashmir, one of the highest drivable passes in the world. This week, go to the extreme and see beyond your current place in the world.

Virgo

The planets are sitting happily in gustatory positions for you this week, Virgo. Grab a few friends, and go sink your teeth into some achiote-marinated pollo (aka chicken) that’s been wrapped in a banana leaf and then barbequed over a hot fire pit — a local favorite in the Yucatan. Or hold up a stein and sing “Ein Prosit” (“I Salute You”) while you enjoy the final week of Oktoberfest in Munich. Spend some time at the table with others and celebrate.

Libra

As Venus enters your sign at the start of the week, it’s time to surround yourself with art and creativity. Wander around the Wynwood Walls street art in Miami, or spend some time snapping photos of the famous covered bridges in New Hampshire with the changing leaves as the backdrop. Look around you and immerse yourself in the art you see. It’s everywhere!

Reflective Mercury moves into your sign this week, Scorpio, giving you a chance to take a step back and gain perspective on things. Go fishing and maybe see a family of bears on astounding Admiralty Island, just off the coast of Alaska near Juneau. Or take in the northern lights spectacle while you sleep beneath the stars in serene Whitehorse in Canada’s Yukon. Both will give you the space and meditative zone you need right now.

Sagittarius

The Moon and Mars in your sign this week are urging you to get out and be social, while Mercury and Saturn are reminding you to take some quality time for yourself. Enjoy the nightlife of Ibiza (still hoppin’ well into the fall) after some quiet time on the beautiful beaches. Or find that perfect balance as you leave Oktoberfest-filled Munich for Neuschwanstein, Bavaria’s most famous and picturesque castle, to enjoy some solitude among the autumn leaves. You can do it all, Sagittarius, and now is the time to figure out the right balance.

Capricorn

Did somebody say cruise? Yes, Capricorn, you need one. The planets are in such complex placements for you: Some want you to buckle down and work, some want you to play, and some want you to retreat and go far, far away. The only solution is a cruise: a little floating city where you can do all of these things! Hop aboard a ship headed for the Hawaiian Islands and wake up each day to a new version of paradise. Or cruise along the Nile via the Mediterranean for a view of Alexander the Great’s favorite places. Go ahead and satisfy all of your many sides!

Aquarius

Although there is always work to be done, you know how to unwind with the best of them, Aquarius, and leave work where it belongs. This week, slow things down and swim with the mighty whale sharks in the fishing village of Donsol in the Philippines. Or jump into the Laccadive Sea and join a school of great manta rays in the Maldives. It’s all about balance, and you’ve got it in spades.

Pisces

The planets are shifting this week, giving you a chance to dive in for a deeper look. Journey back in time to Tabasco on the Gulf of Mexico, where you can wander around the fascinating Olmec ruins (temples and huge heads!). Or spend some time in the Celtic realm on Bardsey Island, off the coast of Wales, where time seems to have stood still. Take a pause this week, Pisces, and spend some time in those concealed spaces. Whatever needs to be revealed will be.
