This is What it Looks Like When An Earthquake Hits Wine Country

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck Northern California early on Sunday morning, the strongest quake to hit the Bay Area since the World Series earthquake in 1989.
The quake hit right in the heart of Northern California’s wine country, just six miles southwest of Napa and nine miles southeast of Sonoma.
There have been no reports of injuries or deaths, but thousands lost power throughout the region and many people were trapped in buildings.
Social media on Sunday was dominated by on-the-ground reports from shaken Californians and much of that chatter was dedicated to one burning question—what happened to the wine?
At the Matthiasson vineyard in Napa barrels tumbled onto the floor.

Bottles flew off of the shelves at the Silver Oak Cellars in Napa and at liquor stores around the region.
