This Inflatable Travel Hoodie Is Perfect for Sleeping On the Go

Kickstarter already brought us the most over-the-top travel jacket ever, and now it’s helping to bring the inflatable hoodie.
Whether you’re traveling by plane, train, or automobile — or just stuck in the airpot between flights — the upcoming Hypnos Hoodie can help you catch some comfy, ergonomically correct zzz’s anywhere, anytime, according to its designers. Described on Kickstarter as “an everyday hoodie that inflates for sleep (and support) on the go,” the sweatshirt has an inflatable neck pillow built into the hood so you can maximize your efficiency by snoozing in your spare moments.
The hoodie is already fully funded, having raised more than $33,000, and still has 13 days to go on the site.

Maybe that’s because, according to its creators, this isn’t just any inflatable hood. The people behind Hypnos Hoodie say they do one thing and they do it well: “We make hoods become pillows.” Ok, then.
These guys say they spent months perfecting the fabric, fit, and function. They optimized the hood size and shape and the ratio of hood fabric to inflatable cushion so that not only is it comfortable, but you can’t see there’s anything in the hood when the padding is not inflated.
Now the creators say they have turned to Kickstarter to presell the product so they can begin manufacturing it cost-effectively.
“It will also help us continue dreaming,” they say. Especially if they’re snoozing in an inflatable hoodie, one would assume.
