This Beach Town Banned Kissing in Public

This town actually banned PDA (and pretty much anything fun) among tourists.
Salvador do Mundo, a village which is north of the capital in traveler beach mecca Goa on the west coast of India, passed a resolution and posted signs warning visitors against kissing in public.
The signs also forbid drinking alcohol, smoking, and loud music.
According to one local official, “We have adopted this resolution following complaints from villagers about couples kissing in public. This was the only way to put an end to it.”
As for those villagers, said one: “We have serene beaches which attract tourists in a big way. Several times we saw couples acting indecently, which irked us,” according to News.com.au.

This ban comes after Goa tried to ban bikinis last year, as well as foreign men in “shabby undergarments.”
At the time, Michael Lobo, a Goa legislator said “They can wear swimming trunks if they want to, but there is a need to control such stupid tourists.”
Neither ban was enacted.
