Southwest Airlines just repainted their planes, and Virgin America revealed new in-flight menus, but neither of these announcements has anything on  the news coming from EVA Air about their Hello Kitty Plane.

Starting on October 29, EVA Air will fly their colorful Hello Kitty Boeing 777-300E nonstop between Taipei, Taiwan and Paris, France. This announcement comes as a way to celebrate the beloved Japanese cartoon character’s 40th birthday. Gone are the muted seats and simple color patterns of the planes we all know and tolerate. The outside of the EVA aircraft is decorated with colorful images of Hello Kitty and her friends, while the interior resembles a Hello Kitty gift shop with headrest covers, hygiene products, playing cards, and even airsickness bags decorated with the recognizable cartoon.

And it doesn’t stop there. Flight attendants wear Hello Kitty aprons, and the in-flight dining spread includes Hello Kitty utensils, napkins, and menus.

EVA partnered with Hello Kitty creator Sanrio to make this flying experience a realty. On their website, the airline says that "it was designed to bridge cultural barriers and invite new friendships around the world."

The Hello Kitty plane originally launched in 2011 with flights around Taiwan and Japan.
