The Craziest Travel Pics From Snowmageddon Weekend

Winter Storm Jonas dumped record amounts of snow on the East Coast over the weekend, paralyzing transportation systems and dominating everyone’s social media feed.

Both New York and Washington D.C came to a complete standstill as travel bans were issued and thousands of flights were cancelled across the region, while over 70,000 people were without power.

The treacherous conditions wreaked havoc on the travel plans of tens of thousands, but provided plenty of fodder for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

If a snowstorm happened and social media wasn’t around to document it, did it really happen at all?
