The new look centers around a colorful new “Heart” logo, which the airline says symbolizes the new heart of the company.

“Our collective heartbeat is stronger and healthier than ever, and that’s because of the warmth, the compassion, and the smiles of our People,” said Southwest’s President and CEO Gary Kelly in a… heartfelt statement. “The Heart emblazoned on our aircraft, and within our new look, symbolizes our commitment that we’ll remain true to our core values as we set our sights on the future.”

Southwest’s new look includes a makeover for its planes — which will be a darker blue with new lettering on the fuselage and hearts painted on their undersides. Today in Dallas, the airline unveiled the first plane with the new look; they call it “Heart One.” Southwest plans to have 60 of its planes painted in the new colors by the end of the year.

You’ll also see the new look at Southwest’s airport terminals and even its snack packaging.
