Singapore Airlines Bringing Back World’s Longest Nonstop Flight
Up until 2013 Singapore Airlines operated the world’s longest non-stop flight from New York to Singapore. Those flights were canceled when the A340-500 aircraft were retired.
Now, the airline is planning to bring back the service in 2018 with the purchase of 63 n32 ultra-long-range Airbus 350 planes.
The flights clocks in around 19 hours and travels a distance of 9,300 miles.

“Singapore Airlines has 63 A350-900s on firm order and the new agreement with Airbus will see seven of these upgraded to orders for the A350-900ULR, which will have a range of up to 8,700nm,” the airline said in a statement.
“Deliveries of the A350-900ULR aircraft are scheduled to take place in 2018, enabling the re-launch of the world’s longest non-stop flights, between Singapore and both Los Angeles and New York. The aircraft will be fitted with all-new cabin products which are currently under development.”
The airline is also considering non-stop flights between Singapore and other American cities.
