Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition Brings the Chill Factor to Frankfurt
This year’s Frankfurt Motor Show is going to be hot with new releases. Supercars, sportscars, concepts — the whole nine yards. Jeep on the other hand, isn’t planning anything hot for Frankfurt. Instead, they’re showing up with something cool. Very cool.
The 2014 Wrangler Polar Edition takes cues from special edition Jeeps of past. Living up to its adventurous spirit, the custom Jeep sports a Hydro Blue exterior (in two- or four-door layout), a simple black interior, 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels, a body-color hardtop, original Mopar accessories and a whole host of other fitments.
Under the hood, you can opt for a 2.8-liter V6 with just about 200-hp on tap, or you can up the ante with a 284-hp 3.6-liter V6. In the base 2.8-liter engine you even get your choice of a five-speed automatic, or six-speed manual transmission.
With all these off-road capabilities to boast, Jeep promises that the Polar Edition can take on some of the toughest trails in the world. Off the dirt, the Wrangler is expected to be as comfortable and versatile as any other car on the road.
You can see it live when it takes the stage September 10th at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
