If you want to have a hoot in London, then head to Annie’s Owl Bar, a new pop-up where patrons can pet owls.

Set to open next week from March 19th to the 25th, Annie’s Owl Bar will feature a cute, lovable owl named Annie along with five of her wise-eyed pals flying. But don’t worry; these owls are trained professionals and are people friendly, so petting is totally encouraged. There will also be professional falconers on site should anything go awry.

Tickets will cost $31 and will be available via a ballot on the Annie Owl’s Bar website. The price originally included two drinks; however, due to concerns from animal welfare groups, alcoholic drinks will no longer be provided at the event.

The bar will be open from 8:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., perfect time for all the night owls in all of us.

Owl cafes, like the Tori-no Iru Cafe seen here, are already popular in Japan. (Photo: Keith Tsuji/Getty Images)

The idea came from none other than Japan, where owl cafes already exist.

Editor’s Note: This story was updated after publication. It was originally reported that proceeds from the entry fee would go toward the Barn Owl Centre, however this conservation charity does not support this cafe.
