From Hong Kong to Cambodia— Katie Couric's Photo Tour of Asia

I’ve finally overcome my jet lag after a two-week trip to Asia —phew! I made the journey because John Wood, the founder of Room to Read, invited me to host its annual Hong Kong gala. I’m a big fan of the organization and have supported it for many years. My daughter Carrie even raised $75,000 for the literacy program through read-a-thons while she was in high school, so I guess you could say it’s a family affair. In addition to hosting the gala, I was excited to explore a part of the world that I’ve always been curious about. Previously, I’d only been to the Hong Kong airport, so I couldn’t wait to stroll along the streets of the bustling city. To make a real adventure out of it, we also made plans to visit Phuket, Singapore, and Cambodia. These are some of my favorite moments from the trip.
