Can’t make it to the Côte d’Azur? Just north of New York’s party-centric Meatpacking District is where you’ll find Dream Beach, an adults-only destination after 12 p.m. daily, which gracefully merges a French Riviera feel with its prime downtown location. The Joule Hotel, Dallas

Designed by Adam Tihany, this downtown hotel’s pool is a glass-fronted architectural marvel that makes infinity pools seem passé. The 10th-floor Joule pool cantilevers 8 feet beyond the hotel’s structure, giving visitors the feeling that they’re swimming off the edge of the building as they stare out at the city. Grab a drink or two at the adjacent bar, and swim out to infinity and beyond.
