WATCH: Little Girl Vs. Disney's Gaston (Smackdown!)

The moral of the story: if you’re going to play a Disney character at Walt Disney World, don’t play one of the bad guys.

One poor Disney World performer found out the hard way, after he was told off by a little girl in this adorable viral video.

The performer plays Beauty and the Beast villain Gaston in the Orlando theme park. Despite the fact that Gaston is one of the biggest cads in the Disney animated film canon, the young Disney World visitor in the video chooses to take a picture with him. Their banter starts innocently enough. But at about 1:40 into the video, Gaston starts being… well, Gaston, saying, “I don’t know where this girl came from, but somebody needs to put her back in the kitchen right now.” (It sounds harsh, but Gaston is a huge chauvinist in the movie).

Well, the little girl isn’t havin’ it. She playfully (we think) lights into Gaston, telling him [and here’s where we issue the obligatory Spoiler Alert for those who haven’t seen “Beauty and the Beast”]:”You’re not marrying Belle!” And “The Beast is gonna beat you!”

One on hand, it’s nice to see a little girl standing up for herself against a handsome but egotistical brute like Gaston. But at the same time, you gotta feel for the poor guy in the Gaston costume, whose only crime is staying in character. While the dude playing Mickey Mouse is getting hugged and the guy in the Genie costume is getting high-fived, this poor fella probably spends his entire day being told off by kindergartners.

So enjoy the video and cheer on this spunky little girl. But have a kind thought for the good sport in the Gaston outfit. Hopefully, next year Disney will let him play Prince Charming.
