…The Wave in Coyote Buttes, Arizona. This sandstone rock formation is famous with hikers and photographers for its colorful rolling curves. To see The Wave in person is no piece of cake – there’s a a lottery system to get a permit and a 3-mile hike through the open desert to actually reach it. Sometimes a difficult journey just makes you appreciate the final destination even more.
