#Daydream: The Louvre, Paris

We know how it is. You’re stuck at your desk and the day seems to be going on forever. Your mind starts to wander — at first to “anywhere but here,” but then to exotic, faraway lands where your everyday problems and stress melt in the presence of true paradise. You want to go to there, and we want to go with you. Every day at 3 p.m. Eastern, we’ll send you a picture of the place we at Yahoo Travel are daydreaming about so we can all take that mental vacation together. Let’s go to…

…The Louvre! Once a royal palace, this beautiful building was converted into a museum in 1793 and is now the most-visited museum in the world. We want to spend the day wandering through its massive halls, viewing the 35,000 objects and works of art on display. The Louvre is home to some of the most impressive and famous works of art including paintings by Delacroix, Rubens, Vermeer, and of course, da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa.” Once we’ve gotten our fill of art and history, we’ll rest our feet and relax in the courtyard, admiring the city lights.
