#Daydream: Leaf Peeping in New England

We know how it is. You’re stuck at your desk and the day seems to be going on forever. Your mind starts to wander — at first to “anywhere but here,” but then to exotic, faraway lands where your everyday problems and stress melt in the presence of true paradise. You want to go to there, and we want to go with you. Every day at 3 p.m. Eastern, we’ll send you a picture of the place we at Yahoo Travel are daydreaming about so we can all take that mental vacation together. Let’s go to…

…New England!!! If you have never driven around New England during peak leaf peeping time, I urge you to plan a trip, immediately! The Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire is a prime spot to see the leaves turn. You also can’t go wrong with Burlington, Vermont where, in addition to admiring colorful trees, you can scream for Ice Cream at Ben and Jerry’s. If you’re not a fan of frozen confections, scratch that and head to Maine. Caribou, Bar Harbor, Camden, and even Bangor will not disappoint. Maybe invite Stephen King along? He is rumored to live in Bangor. And this is a ‘dream’ so why not? You can even take an epic road trip and view all the foliage throughout New England. Whatever you do, take it all in. Seasons change and you don’t want to miss this season or the incredible foliage that New England has to offer.
