…the Villandry Gardens! Villandry is a beautiful Renaissance chateau surrounded by three tiers of terraced gardens. The property has had many owners throughout its history – in the early 19th century, Napoleon even acquired the property for his brother, Jerome! Over time, the tradition of the great gardens was lost until the early 1900s when Joachim Carvallo acquired the chateau and devoted himself to restoring the gardens to their original glory. Today, they are as majestic as ever.
