In its first installment of Yahoo on Location, the Yahoo Travel team set up its offices poolside at the Dream Downtown.
Why, you ask? Besides a desire to “live the dream” (ok, we couldn’t resist), we wanted to be inspired by a mini staycation at a New York hotel.

Designed by Albert C. Ledner in 1966, the original building used to serve as an annex for the National Maritime Union. Fun fact: Although there used to be a pool here, we suspect that the workers didn’t have a pool with views into the lobby.
Some might call it an extension of the Fourth of July weekend, but as these photos attest, we were working hard at this little slice of Vegas right in the heart of Manhattan.
