Cranberries Lead Singer Arrested After Allegedly Attacking Flight Attendant

It’s the latest news in stars behaving badly… on planes.

Cranberries lead singer, Dolores O’Riordan, was arrested after an allegedly attacking a flight attendant on Monday on an Aer Lingus flight from JFK to Shannon Airport in Ireland.

It’s reported that the rock star fractured one of the  air hostess’ feet, then head butted a police officer after landing. The flight attendant was taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment. According to the BBC, O’Riordan was detained and questioned over the assault allegations.

"I can confirm that the incident took place on board Aer Lingus’ daily service from New York to Shannon. An arrest was made following arrival at 4:47 a.m.," a spokesperson for Shannon Airport said.

O’Riordan was detained under section four of Ireland’s Criminal Justice Act and questioned. She complained about feeling ill and was taken to a hospital in Limerick, Ireland.

Dolores O’Riordan was later discharged from the hospital and released without charge.
