Azzam: 590 feet; $605 million
New to the super-yacht scene, the Azzam is the largest private yacht in the world, measuring 590 feet in length (larger than some Navy destroyers). Owned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates, the Azzam is described as the most complex and challenging yacht on the water today. Not only is it the world’s biggest private yacht, but it’s also the fastest, able to reach speeds of just above 30 knots (35 mph). A crew of 50 has been caring for it since it launched in April. Plus, it reportedly has all of the features found on the yacht that it knocked off the top of the world’s-largest list.

Here’s a quick look at some of our favorite supersized and superexpensive super yachts (size and cost figures are estimates).
