Gourmet shop Russ & Daughters celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014 with one of New York’s most-buzzed-about openings: a café devoted to breakfast. After all, breakfast is so satisfying we commonly eat it again for dinner.
Indeed, Russ & Daughters Café and many of our favorite spots serve breakfast staples all day long, whether dishing out lox with cream cheese, syrupy pancakes, waffles doused in powdered sugar, or that tag team of fresh coffee and sizzling bacon.
Other breakfast restaurants get more creative with their offerings. For example, a super-savory (okay, slightly bizarre) omelette has inspired hour-long lines at Deluca’s in Pittsburgh.
