WATCH: The Women Behind the World Cup

As the World Cup gets closer to crowning the greatest soccer team in the world, we want to take a minute to send some props to some of the women who make the game possible — the female factory workers at the Forward Sports factory in the Pakistani town of Sialkot.

These women earn approximately $182 a month to construct the FIFA approved balls for the tournament. Approximately 90 percent of the factory’s workforce is female: an anomaly in Pakistan, where women rarely work outside the home.
