Apparently what travelers really need is more pockets — and they’re willing to chip in more than $1 million to get them. Originally launched on July 7 with a meager $20,000 fund-raising goal, Kickstarter travel-fashion start-up BauBax has now surpassed a million bucks for its all-in-one jacket, which is packed with a ton of specialized pockets and built-in gadgets for globetrotters.

The jacket’s 15 traveler-friendly features include a pillow that blows up in two seconds (in the hood), an eye mask (attached to the hood), gloves (attached to the sleeves), earphone holders to keep your buds tangle-free, a pocket to carry the special BauBax blanket (which you can buy for an extra fee), a pocket for your sunglasses, a built-in microfiber cloth for keeping said sunglasses spot-free, a passport pocket, a tablet pocket, a zipper that is also a pen and a stylus, and a detachable pillow. Whew.

The inspiration for the all-in-one jacket came from the long-distance relationship of founding partners (and now married couple) Yoganshi Shah and Hiral Sanghavi. Spend enough time on flights between Chicago and San Francisco and you’ll come up with the darnedest things, like a neoprene-insulated drink pocket to hold your hot or cold can (for when the tray table isn’t enough).

The jackets are expected by November 2015, at which time you’ll have your choice of four styles: sweatshirt, windbreaker, bomber, or blazer. Kickstarter early-bird prices had started at $89, but most of those deals appear to be sold out by now, so prepare to shell out $160–$200 when the final product is released.
