Every U2 Album, Ranked
In some ways, U2 have had a fairytale existence unheard of in rock music. Paul “Bono” Hewson, David “The Edge” Evans, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. began making music together, with two more friends, when they were 14 or 15. And that core quartet has remained together for over four decades, with no lineup … Every U2 Album, Ranked Read More » The post Every U2 Album, Ranked appeared first on SPIN.

Apple reportedly plans to give away its TV content, because that worked well with U2
Apple has answered two questions in one day, or rather a CNBC report citing someone within the company has. To be clear, the report suggests that Apple will give its original content away for free to anyone with an iOS or tvOS device (Macs appear to be excluded). Album Review: U2’s ‘Songs of Experience’
From the sounds of it, the process of making a U2 album is as laborious as a NASA mission to one of Jupiter’s moons. Ego and ambition and insecurity and technology combine with a near-desperate desire to be relevant, not to mention a quintessentially Irish sense of duty and discipline equaled only by their unimaginable […]

After shoving its way onto iTunes, U2 is headed for the Amazon Echo
The last time U2 offered up an album exclusive, things didn’t go great. Apple reportedly paid $100 million for exclusive rights to Songs of Innocence, the Irish arena rock band’s first record in half a decade — and irritated countless iTunes users in the process by forcing it onto their iPhones and iPads. The longtime partnership between the two appears to be on the outs, as Amazon announced its own exclusive tied into the band’s new Songs of Experience.
