Michael B. Jordan all smiles after Walk of Fame star

STORY: Addressing fans, friends and family at the ceremony, the "Creed" and "Black Panther" star said the significance of the occasion and what it represents to his community was not lost on him."To be amongst artists that receive this honor previously, Sidney Poitier, Cicely Tyson, Sam Cooke. I know it's not a small achievement. And it's not lost on me how special this moment is and what this represents to our community," he said."So, from the bottom of my heart, I want to say, thank you," he added. The star ceremony on Los Angeles' storied Hollywood Boulevard comes just days before the release of "Creed III," in which Jordan reprises his role as boxing champion Adonis Creed and also makes his directorial debut.Director Ryan Coogler, who has directed Jordan in several movies, including "Creed" and "Black Panther," turned out to support Jordan, telling the actor "I got to say, man... from Newark, New Jersey, bro'. (From) walking in front of driving cars (laughs) to having your name on this street, bro'... I love you, bro. I'm proud of you, man."Jordan had a quick rise to stardom after his breakout role in "Fruitvale Station," which was directed by Coogler.
