46th Asian American International Film Festival features Rich Brian’s big-screen debut
- Rich Brian’s big-screen debut is among the films to be showcased at this year’s Asian American International Film Festival. About the festival: First established by Asian Cinevision in 1978, the Asian American International Film Festival is an annual celebration of the Asian diaspora’s cinematic storytelling tradition. Directed by Justin Chon, “Jamojaya,” the festival’s opening night presentation, focuses on the complex relationship between a rising Indonesian rapper, portrayed by the real-life Indonesian hip hop artist Rich Brian, and his father, who happens to be his manager.

88rising announces Head in the Clouds festival in Jakarta
88rising took to social media today to announce the dates and venue for the upcoming Head in the Clouds music festival in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event will take place on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 at Jakarta's Community Park PIK2. An official lineup announcement has yet to be announced, but an 88rising tweet from March hinted at possible appearances from Indonesian singer-songwriter Niki and Indonesian rapper Rich Brian.
