Lila Downs Discusses Her Album, “Salón Lágrimas y Deseo,” & The "Celebrate Brooklyn!" Festival

The BRIC "Celebrate Brooklyn!" Festival is a free, summer-long experience allowing New Yorkers to come with their friends and family to appreciate or discover a new genre, artist or world culture each night of the Festival. During its nearly 40-year run, the festival has presented celebrated chart- topping indie bands, legendary jazz artists, global music icons, gravity- defying dance troupes, large-scale film projects and is one of the city's foremost cultural attractions and a beloved summer tradition. Lila Downs, who has won a Grammy and four Latin Grammys, comes to BUILD to speak about her new album, “Salón Lágrimas y Deseo,” and the Festival.
